Movember and The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride have joined forces in an $8.37 million AUD initiative to support veterans and first responders, along with their families. Amid increasing evidence of their vulnerability to mental health issues and suicide, and a marked absence of readily accessible proof of existing support programs’ effectiveness, Movember initiated the Veterans and First Responders Mental Health Grant Program in September 2020. This innovative program aims to identify, collaborate with, and validate the effectiveness of promising mental health or suicide prevention projects through rigorous evaluation, illuminating the path to improved support for these brave individuals.
